In 2010 Gucci launched a line designed specially for kids. This line was initially presented in Italy and than in other 40 stores all arount the world. The main designer of this collection was Frida Giannini which is now one of the House Creative Directors. She represents a new generation of designers, her ideas being very appreciated. She has a fantastic commercial success both on women and men’s wearing. Frida tells that the secret behind her success is to think collections as a whole. She says that maybe what brought her the succes was that she imagines men and women together, not as different collections. She is reinventing herself and her ideas about fashion, in the idea of never feeling on the top, so that she works harder for advancing in her professional life. She developed new ideas for the retail stores and for advertising campaigns too. In present Gucci has three main designers: John Ray for menswear , Alessandra Facchinetti for womens wear and Frida Giannini for men and women accessories. Fachinetti is one of the most appreciated women among fashion designers and critics. She gained a lot of fame through her luxurious, elegant and breathtaking collections. John Ray is the succesor of Tom Ford in designing men wearing and as the CEO of Gucci, Mark Lee says, he has a very important contribution to the company’s success in men’s ready to wear section. Altough some of the main designers have left Gucci recently, they left their prints on the way of thinking clothes and mostly on the lines they helped develop. At the same time, Gucci left its mark on its designers carriers and mentality projecting them in the wonders of fashion.
